These fees pertain to the use of the airport terminal infrastructure. This includes check-in counters, common areas, passenger lounges, jet bridges, and all other facilities essential to ensuring a seamless passenger journey through the terminal. Additionally, garbage disposal and lavatory waste disposal are included in the fees. The fees also cover a standard ninety (90) minutes turnaround time for aircraft operations.

A passenger who arrives at an airport on one flight and departs on a subsequent flight as part of the same continuous journey, without exiting the airport into the public (landside) area.

The Passenger Facility Fee covers all costs associated with the facility, including airside and landside security, fuel tank farm, de-icing facility infrastructure, capital structures. The fees cover maintenance, operational support, and upgrades to these facilities, guaranteeing a high-quality experience for all passengers and airlines utilizing the terminal.

The baggage room fees encompass repair and maintenance, infrastructure costs, labor operations, electrical services, and overall infrastructure management of the various baggage operations.

Since YHU Terminal is not a designated airport as per the current legislation, the Air Travelers Security Charge (ATSC) – a fee levied on airline tickets in Canada to fund aviation security services provided by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) – is not collected by the airlines flying in and out of the MET – Montreal Metropolitan Airport. YHU Terminal is instead required to pay CATSA directly on a cost-recovery basis for all costs associated with the passenger screening fee as per the mandate of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority.
